Consultations are by appointment.
If multiple family members need to see the doctor, please book a separate appointment for each person. This ensures your doctor can dedicate the time and attention each patient deserves. In emergency situations, urgent cases are always given priority.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP.
Extended Consultations – If you have several concerns to discuss or require forms to be completed, please let our reception team know when booking. This allows us to allocate extra time for your consultation.
Telehealth Options –We offer phone and video consultations for your convenience. These can be booked online via our website or by calling the practice.
Urgent appointments – Urgent appointments are available if you are ill or injured on the day. Our nurses will speak with you to triage your health needs and organise a suitable appointment.
Accidents and Emergencies – For any life-threatening emergencies, always call 000 immediately, even if you’re unsure. For non-urgent situations, please call us on (07) 4913 9300, and our team will advise you on the best course of action.
Medicals, Referrals or Forms – Patients are required to advise reception if you are requiring these services so the appropriate time can be allocated to your appointment.

At our practice, we are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare in a professional and compassionate environment. Below is important information about our fees, Medicare, and bulk-billing policies.
Medicare and Bulk-Billing
Medicare is a government-funded health subsidy scheme that helps cover some of the costs of healthcare. While some practices accept the Medicare rebate as full payment (a system known as “bulk-billing”), this practice does not routinely bulk-bill.
The reason for this is simple: the Medicare rebate alone does not cover the cost of delivering high-quality healthcare. To maintain the standard of care we believe our patients deserve, there is a “gap” or out-of-pocket expense for most of our services.
Private Billing Practice
This is a private billing practice, meaning most consultations with your doctor will incur an out-of-pocket cost.
Fees
Fees vary based on the length and complexity of your consultation and are payable at the time of your visit. Each doctor sets their own fee schedule, which may differ from the practice’s general fee guide.
Bulk-Billing Eligibility
While bulk-billing is not available for most patients, it is offered at the discretion of individual doctors for the following:
- Children aged 15 years and under (excluding weekends or patients with complex health needs).
- Health Assessments and Chronic Disease Care Plans (excluding Mental Health Care Plans).
- DVA Gold Card holders.
- Doctor-initiated telephone consultations
For other patients, we regret that bulk-billing is not possible as the Medicare rebate does not adequately cover the costs of providing the high standard of care we deliver.
Concessional Rates
Pensioner and Health Care Card holders may be eligible for discounted fees. Please present your current concession card to reception staff upon arrival. Discounts are at the discretion of the consulting doctor.
Fee Guide
Here is a summary of our most common consultation fees:
| Consultation Type | Fee | Concession Fee | Medicare Rebate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard consult (<20 mins) | $112 | $91 | $45.05 |
| Long consult (20-29 mins) | $171 | $150 | $87.10 |
| Saturday Practice consult (Standard) | $134 | $134 | $45.05 |
| Sunday / Public Holiday Practice consult (Standard) | $168 | $168 | $58.65 |
| After Hours Consult (11pm-7am) | $358 | $358 | $183.15 |
Additional Fees: Certain procedures (e.g. Dressings, ECGs, excisions, cryotherapy) may incur additional charges. If you have questions, our reception team can provide an estimate of these costs.

Medicare provides partial rebates for most of our services for patients holding a valid Medicare card. Our system is linked directly to Medicare, so we can process your rebate on the spot. Refunds can be deposited directly into your bank account or credited to your debit card.
Please ensure you present your Medicare card and any applicable concession cards to reception staff upon arrival.

These are available for genuine illnesses and only if you attend the Practice for a consultation. It is illegal to do otherwise, or to provide a retrospective or post-dated certificate.
Where blood tests or other investigations have been ordered, you will generally need to make a follow-up appointment to discuss the results. The Practice uses SMS notification service to advise of non-urgent results. If the doctor is concerned about your results, the Practice staff will contact you to make an appointment. To ensure confidentiality, test results will not be given over the phone.
Our practice follows specific guidelines to ensure safe and effective medication management:
- Notice Required: Please allow 48 hours’ notice for repeat prescription requests.
- Eligibility: You must have visited the practice within the last 3 months. Repeat prescriptions are at the Doctor’s discretion, and some medications may require a consultation.
- Fee: A $35 fee applies for repeat prescriptions issued without a consultation. Payment is required upon collection.
- Authority Prescriptions: These require a Doctor’s appointment. Reception will contact you if an appointment is necessary.
- E-Script: Wherever possible, repeat prescriptions will be sent electronically to your phone for convenience.
- Schedule 8 Drugs: This practice does not provide prescriptions for Controlled Drugs or Drugs of Dependence for patients with non-malignant pain. The practice uses and reports to the Australian Governments Prescription Shopper Program.

Our Practice uses a reminder system to support your ongoing health care. We also participate in national, state and territory recall and reminder programs.
You may receive reminders by post, email, telephone or SMS for important appointments and procedures such as vaccinations, cervical screening, and health reviews.
If you prefer not to participate in recall and reminder programs or wish to opt out of SMS reminders for appointments, please speak with our reception team to discuss your options. Your preferences will always be respected.
Our practice regularly collaborates with local health services, including specialists, allied health providers, and hospitals, to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.

You are welcome to request a specialist of your choice.
Referral Process
- Once you have scheduled your specialist appointment, your referral letter will be sent directly to the specialist.
- Please note that it is illegal to predate referrals, and our practice cannot accommodate such requests.
By working closely with other healthcare providers, we aim to ensure you receive the highest standard of care tailored to your needs.
Zero Tolerance for Aggressive Behavior
At our practice, we are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We take any form of abuse, violence, or aggression towards our practice team, doctors, nurses, or other patients very seriously.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for verbal, physical, or aggressive behavior. Our team has the right to provide care without fear of abuse or violence. Mutual respect between patients and staff is essential to ensure we can deliver the best possible care. Dealing with abusive or aggressive behavior takes time and resources away from caring for you and others.
While we understand that illness and stress can sometimes affect behavior, any form of aggression will not be tolerated. In such cases:
- Offenders will be required to leave the practice.
- Care will be transferred to another provider.
- In extreme circumstances, refusal to leave may result in police intervention.

- Using offensive language or swearing at staff.
- Yelling or using a raised voice in anger.
- Physical violence such as pushing, shoving, or any aggressive act.
- Verbal abuse or insults towards staff or patients.
- Racial abuse or sexual harassment in any form.
- Unrealistic demands that create undue stress for staff.
- Causing damage to the practice or theft of property.
- Fraudulent behavior, including obtaining drugs or services dishonestly.
We strive to be polite, helpful, and sensitive to all individual needs and circumstances, and we ask that you treat your GPs, nurses, and staff with the same courtesy and respect. By working together in a positive and respectful manner, we can provide the best care for all.
Our Practice strives to provide a quality service.
